Accessories are additional components constituting optional equipment for Hexonic products. They are designed and selected to be most compatible with them and supplement them with extra features.
Appropriate insulation increases heat exchanger performance, preventing interactions between the equipment and its direct surroundings.
The purpose of thermal insulation is to reduce energy losses and protect the devices against freezing and internal corrosion. Insulation also protects the environment against overheating due to operation of the exchanger and protects against accidentally touching a heated device. Cooling exchangers use cold protective insulation, protecting them against ambient temperature, which is higher than the temperature of the cooling medium.
PFI insulation for JAD exchangers
Insulation for shell and tube JAD heat exchangers is made of polyurethane foam. The two parts of the insulation are joined with bands, which facilitates their installation and disassembly.

AMWI insulation for JAD exchangers
Insulation for shell and tube JAD heat exchangers is made of mineral wool covered with aluminum. Parts of the insulation are joined using fasteners, facilitating its installation.

Attention! The insulation may also withstand 350°C.
APFI for L exchangers
Insulation for brazed plate L-line heat exchangers is made of polyurethane insulation foam covered with aluminum (APF). The two parts of insulation are combined using fasteners.

Expanded polypropylene (EPP) insulation for L brazed plate heat exchanger in LB31 model is resistant to diffusion, 100% free of contamination. Importantly, it is completely recyclable.

Fittings for welding
Fittings for welding are used in exchangers with connector pipes to be welded. Its parts are made of carbon steel and brass.
Threaded fittings
Threaded fittings made of brass are used for mounting exchanger equipped with threaded connection pipes for installation.
RDS refrigerant distribution system
Hexonic developed the unique dynamic boiling medium distribution system, RDS, for evaporators with higher cooling efficiencies. RDS distribution tubes are used in type R brazed plate heat exchangers. The system ensures balanced medium distribution in evaporator channels, while at the same time reducing steam overheating fluctuations.
Professional deSCAL descaler
deSCAL descaling agent is a modern formula efficiently removing the limescale.
deSCAL is a safe chemical agent intended for removing limescale from heat exchangers, domestic hot water tanks, boilers, central heating installations and other devices generating limescale.
The limescale results from thermal decomposition of calcium and magnesium carbonates contained in water, especially hard water. Its regular removal is necessary for the proper operation of heat exchangers, allowing to preserve heat exchange efficiency. In the worst case scenario, excessive generation of limescale may lead to fouling of the exchanger. deSCAL agent is very economic; 1.5 kg of the agent is used per 1m2 of heat exchange surface.
deSCAL NX 100 cleaning unit
deSCAL NX 100 cleaning unit is designed to remove limescale from devices using deSCAL cleaning agent.
It has a very simple design, is functional and has an attractive price. Made entirely of plastic, is very light (only 5.7 kg), which makes it easy in transport and use.
deSCAL NX100 is intended for chemical cleaning of devices such as: heat exchangers, gas boiler exchangers made of stainless steel, steel gas boilers or cast iron insert boilers, tanks, heat pump exchangers, smaller chiller’s evaporators and condensers.
Drip trays
The main function of a drip tray is to collect condensate generated outside the exchanger plate pack. It is used mainly with plate & frame heat exchangers.
Protection sheets
Protection sheets protect the sides of the heating plate pack in plate & frame heat exchangers. Their function is to protect the surroundings of the exchangers against sudden leakage of hot or toxic media.
Bolts
Threaded bolts allow for installation of a flanged connection in a plate & frame heat exchanger.
