The power industry is a sector of the economy with one of the most damaging environmental impacts. Forecasts are that by 2040 the global energy sector will grow by 1.1% per year. The world has been taking action to limit the harmful impact of the power industry on the environment by integrating the energy policy with environmental policy. Therefore the industry slowly shifts from generating power from traditional sources towards RES.
