WFI hot storage and distribution
The purpose of the storage and distribution system is to deliver the medium to the points of use under an appropriate pressure, at an appropriate temperature and in an appropriate quality.
The water for injection generated must be appropriately stored and distributed to points of use.
The required parameters are typically specified by the user at the project design stage and depend on the type of process parameter for which the medium is used. One of the implementations of a water for injection (WFI) storage and distribution system is storing the water at a constant temperature of approximately 80°C - 85°C.
This temperature is maintained by a P-line heat exchanger, where the technical steam or water is supplied in the shell side.
