Point of use

The system ensures WFI or PW dosing at a specific temperature. It is required to meet the stringent quality and hygiene criteria of the pharmaceutical industry.

For WFI water to be fit for use in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, it must be cooled down to the application temperature.

Most often this is between 25°C and 45°C. If there is more than one point of use with the same temperature, an additional cycle is arranged in the system, where a P-line heat exchanger is installed to cool the water to its application temperature.

The second solution is to use a heat exchanger upstream the point of use (POU). The P-line exchanger used here cools down the WFI to the required level.
