Transformer oil cooling

Transformer oil is a synthetic or mineral oil used as an insulator, also having cooling functions.

Very high heat generated by transformers necessitates constant flow of oil and its appropriate cooling in the heat exchanger.

Transformer oil (electric insulation fluid) in transformers acts as electric insulator and transfers heat outside the device, allowing for its stable and constant operation. Keeping the oil at a low temperature allows to reduce the electrical load of the transformer permanently or during peak demand.

Plate or brazed SafePLATE plate heat exchangers are installed in the transformer oil cooling system makes mixing the oil with water more difficult, thus guaranteeing safe operation of the system.
